With the first content collection released earlier this morning to all Xbox 360 owners to purchase, Modern Warfare 3 players will be treated to a double XP this weekend. When you log into the multiplayer portion of Modern Warfare 3, you’ll be treated to the following message. “DLC Collection 1 is available for purchase now. New MP maps and SO Missions await you. Plus, earn Double XP this weekend.” This Double XP event seems to be only for Xbox 360 users as it coincides with the new content pack released for the platform. Usually, Double XP weekends for Call of Duty titles start around the afternoon on Friday, in this case March 23rd, and end around the same time on Monday. If more information is released regarding the time frame of the event and whether it applies to the PS3 and PC versions, we will update this article accordingly.
