Get more Points with Bing Rewards and also now has 100 Microsoft Point Prizes

Yesterday was Bing's Rewards 1 year Anniversary and they gave away a bonus 25 points. When I was getting my points I noticed a new section that I hadnt seen yet. I racked up about 80 points from this section in a couple of mins. It is the "discover" section that you can find HERE

So far the 2 deals from Bing Rewards I have posted are 400 Microsoft Points and the $5 Amazon Card. While Browsing bing today I notice they now have added a 100 msp option. It will cost you a bit more in the long run but not by much. here is the comparison of the the 400msp option.

The 100 msp cost 150 pts which is  0.67 pts for 1 msp CLICK HERE
The 400 msp cost 540 pts which is  0.74 pts for 1 msp CLICK HERE

With Bing now giving a standard 20 points a day for searching with a 3 pt bonus offer plus the discover section you should be able to get average 100-150 msp free per week

If you havnt signed up yet, it is free CLICK HERE and read this post HERE

How auto search Bing for reward points

If you signed up for the Bing preview (see post HERE & HERE)  then you have to do a lot of searches to get your daily points. But no more!
This method is for Firefox, but should also be available on other browsers as well.

First see how many searches you need for 1 point and how many total points you are allowed daily. Take the number of required searches and multiply it by the number of allowed daily points.
Ex: If you get 1 point for every 6 searches up to 8 points per day then your number of required searches will be 48 (6x8)

1. Download the iMacros extension for firefox HERE
2. Install and restart Firefox
3. Click on the iMacros icon on the top left corner of your browser to open iMacros
4. Go to Bing.com and Sign in with your Windows Live I.D.
5. On the iMacros tool bar to the left click on the REC tab and hit Record
6. Type in any search and click the search button
7. Now on the left side on the browser will be “related searches” and click the blue links the number of times (ex:48) as you number above (purple means you have already clicked it and wont count as a search)
8. Click the stop button on the iMacros tool bar and then save as Bing
9. Now when you need to do tomorrows searches clear your cookies (or set them to delete when you exit firefox)
10. Open iMacros (see step 3) and click the play tab, select “Bing” and press play.
11. Done J

Don’t Forget to still do the Tasks.

Cloud Storage and more coming to Xbox LIVE

Following the E3 Briefing earlier today, we also announced the following features coming to Xbox 360 and Xbox LIVE Members later this year:
  • The New Dashboard. Simpler. Cleaner. Easier to navigate. With the addition of new entertainment content on Xbox LIVE and our commitment to continuously improving the overall Xbox experience, we’ve updated the dashboard with a new look and feel that makes it even more open, inviting and intuitive to navigate. All of your favorite content is categorized in a way that is easy to browse and find what you’re looking for, plus you can use voice anywhere in the dashboard to effortlessly navigate and get to what you want.
  • Bing on Xbox. We are bringing Bing to Xbox. Bing on Xbox searches Netflix, Hulu Plus, ESPN, as well as our music, video and Xbox LIVE marketplaces to find exactly the entertainment you want to enjoy. With Bing on Xbox and Kinect, you can effortlessly find the games, movies, TV shows, sports and music you want by only using your voice. You say it, Xbox finds it. The experience is now simpler than ever before.
  • Expanded Kinect Voice Support. We want Xbox LIVE members around the globe to experience the magic of Kinect’s voice recognition technology so we are committed to bringing voice to eight additional markets by the end of this year with a total of 13 markets that will have Kinect voice. We are also exploring some innovative new ways to enable the LIVE community to help us accelerate the refinement of voice models in new markets, and look forward to sharing developments on that front soon.
  • Beacons. We want to make it easy for you to connect with friends over your favorite games on Xbox LIVE, so we are introducing Beacons to the service. Beacons are a way to tell your Xbox LIVE and Facebook friends that you want to play a game on Xbox LIVE. By setting a Beacon, you tell Xbox LIVE what you want to play. Then, Xbox LIVE lets you know when friends are playing or want to play the same game. With Beacons, no matter what you’re currently doing on Xbox LIVE your friends know that it’s ok to ask you to play your Beaconed games. Imagine sending out a Beacon to let your friends know you’re interested in playing “Halo,” while watching a movie on Netflix. It’s about making it easier for you to share and discover games and multiplayer opportunities with friends on Xbox LIVE.
  • Cloud Storage for Game Saves and LIVE Profile. Here at Xbox LIVE we listen to your feedback. We are making it easier for you to sign into your Xbox LIVE account from any console at any time to access your game saves and full profile, including items such as Microsoft Points to make purchases, Achievements and friends. Cloud storage will allow you to enjoy the same great Xbox LIVE gaming experience even when you’re not in your own living room by giving you the option to store your “game saves” securely in the Xbox LIVE cloud instead of on a portable memory unit or your console’s hard drive. Gone are the days of “gamertag recovery.” Now all you need to do is sign in, no matter where you are!

My Amazon Guide - Listia & Bing Update

As part of my Amazon Guide to get $200+ in free Amazon credit every month, I have a section for Listia & Bing. I recently saw an on going trend that you can take advatage of.

The Basic rule is 1000 points = $1 (Amazon credit), This is a constant rate because Listia sells Amazon credit in its rewards store at this rate. However they do sell very fast, so you have to watch for it.

Okay, onto the trend. I have noticed 100 point Microsoft point codes going for 2,000+, there is a couple of variables. If you are new and have no feedback and havnt been verified, then do not expect your auction to go for this high. Bing currently has 100msp codes on sale this week for 100 reward points instead of the usual 125. Normally I say get the $5 Amazon card for 475 points but with this conversion based on the current trend you are getting more bang for your buck selling the Microsoft Points.

Current selling Value:
100msp = ~2000 credits = $2 Amazon credit which means you can double your Amazon credit

If you have any questions Email me or comment below.

Amazon Gift Cards using "My Amazon Credit Guide" **Update**

I found another way to save credits on Bing which is part of  "My Amazon Credit Guide"
This isnt much but it will save you 5 credits when purchasing a $5 Amazon gift card.

Instead of purchasing the $5 Amazon cadr instead opt for the $5 Tango card. The Tango car is 5 points cheaper. You can then go to the Tango website and use the $5 card to purchase a $5 Amazon card among other gift cards not offered my Bing.

For full details on how to get free Amazon gift cards, read my post

New Xbox 360 dashboard update starts rolling out today

Many of you have been involved in the 2012 Xbox LIVE Update Public Beta and have been busy getting an early look at the latest Xbox LIVE features. Today we’re starting to roll out the official release of the update to Xbox LIVE subscribers around the world. To ensure a stable release, this will be a gradual deployment across subscribers and regions over the course of the next week. Our initial deployment will reach approximately three million consoles worldwide, with additional users being updated over the course of a couple weeks. Don’t panic if you don’t see an immediate update, just keep checking back in.
In this update, you will see the following features.
  • Refreshed Xbox 360 Dashboard. We’ve updated the UI with a few things, including an updated layout with more tiles, a combined TV & Movies channel and, in the US, a Sports destination.
  • Internet Explorer for Xbox. With Internet Explorer on Xbox, you can easily find and view internet content on the biggest screen in the house, including HTML5 videos.
  • Recommendations and Ratings. Recommendations will allow you to discover new favorites, generated based on a number of variables including the content you previously viewed, what your friends are consuming and what is most relevant and popular with our Xbox community. You can now rate content yourself and also see Rotten Tomatoes ratings.
  • Pinning. Pinning lets you personalize the dashboard by saving your favorite movies, TV shows, games, music, videos and websites right to the home screen. It’s as easy as opening an app or a favorite movie and clicking “pin.”
  • Xbox Video. Formerly called Zune Video Marketplace, Xbox Video offers hundreds of thousands of TV shows and movies for buying or renting in instant HD streaming.
  • Recent. Previously called Quick Play, the Recent view gives you a list of movies, games, apps or other types of content that you most recently accessed on the console.
  • Enhanced Search. The last Xbox LIVE update brought Bing voice search to Xbox so you could use voice to search for movies, TV shows, actors, directors and artists. This year we added genre search to the list, so now you can search for action, comedy, romance, drama or sci-fi. Bing voice search now includes results for video across the Web, including YouTube.
  • International Expansion of Voice Search. We’ve expanded our Kinect voice search capabilities to 9 new countries – Canada, France, Germany, Japan, Mexico, Italy, Spain, Austria, and Ireland.
What about Xbox SmartGlass? That’s coming too, but not until Windows 8 launches on October 26th. When the Xbox SmartGlass app launches on tablets, PCs and smartphones, it will include key foundational experiences for interacting with your Xbox 360, such as dashboard and app navigation and Internet Explorer control, like text input, scrolling and pinch and zoom.
Yesterday, we shared all the details about Xbox Music, our brand new digital music service. Xbox Music begins rolling out today on Xbox 360, it will launch with free streaming on all Windows 8 PCs and tablets on October 26th and Windows Phone 8 as devices arrive in market. Xbox Music combines all the different ways people love to enjoy music, creating the ultimate all-in-one music service.

A Letter from Marc Whitten: A New Xbox 360 Experience

The following is a letter from CVP of Xbox LIVE Marc Whitten

Dear Xbox LIVE Members,
Today, we’re launching a new Xbox 360 experience that connects you with your favorite entertainment and games like never before and makes finding and enjoying entertainment as simple as it should be.
It’s a vision we shared at E3 and I’d like to thank you for all of your valuable feedback along this incredible ride and share a little more about what we have in store this holiday – from Beacons, cloud storage and Facebook sharing, to our latest entertainment offerings.
Building upon our great lineup of partners, we’ve teamed up with nearly 40 of the world’s leading TV & entertainment providers to bring you an array of live and on-demand TV, movies, games, sports and music experiences. The first wave of new partners rolls out today with experiences like EPIX and TODAY (MSNBC) in the US, LOVEFiLM in the UK, Sky Go in Germany, Premium Play by (MediaSet) in Italy and Telefonica EspaƱa – Movistar Imagenio in Spain. And we’ll continue to roll out more entertainment content to Xbox LIVE in the coming months.
Beyond entertainment, you’ll find a number of features designed to make your Xbox experience more personal, social and effortless. The dashboard has an entirely new look and feel and a completely reimagined interface that makes your entertainment accessible through simple voice commands. Now, using voice search with Bing on Xbox, you can find and play the programming you want across multiple entertainment providers without having to search for a remote control. In the mood for ‘The Office?’ Just say “Xbox, Bing, ‘The Office,’” and Xbox will display all episodes available from various entertainment apps across the console.
We’re also bringing you Beacons and Facebook sharing, further integrating social into your Xbox experience. Before jumping into an episode of ‘The Office,’ you can activate a Beacon to let your friends know that you want to play, say, “Gears of War 3.” Then, sit back and relax with the Dunder Mifflin crew. The Beacon will let you know when a LIVE friend is available for a round of Horde in Gears. After the game, use Facebook Sharing to tout your achievements and showcase your in-game accomplishments through direct posts.
While we’re proud of our capability to connect you remotely to the global community of more than 35 million Xbox LIVE members, sometimes there’s nothing like being with your friends and family. And so we’ve added cloud storage so you can access game saves and your LIVE profile, including achievements, from your friends’ consoles as well.
Lastly, with the ever-expanding library of content available, we realize Xbox is enjoyed by all members of the family. Rest assured that our parental controls have improved in parallel with this new content. Parents can manage their child’s console activity, sharing on social networking sites as well as regulate access to games, movies, television, and music. Additionally, the update brings enhanced navigation to Xbox 360 Family Settings to better integrate with Kinect.
We strive to continually innovate and bring meaningful experiences to each and every member of the Xbox LIVE community. Currently, our community is already enjoying 2.1 billion hours of entertainment each month. We imagine this number will only continue to grow as you discover enhanced entertainment on Xbox this holiday that is instantly searchable, easily discoverable and enjoyable in extraordinary new ways. We hope you enjoy this new chapter in the evolution of Xbox and continue to push us to write the next.
See you on LIVE,
Marc Whitten
