Xbox One Event: News Recap


Here are the major events that were announced at the event that took place today.

Instant Switching


While playing something, you can instantly switch between gaming, to watching a movie or T.V show. You can grab your hands in front of your console and pull, and go back to what you were doing. On Xbox One, doing multiple things is going to be easy. Entering snap mode will put things on pause while doing other things.


Xbox One Features live T.V and Skype


While playing a game, you can talk to people on Skype from anywhere around the world on snap mode. You can do this while watching a movie as well. Everything is done by talking to your Xbox. You can also follow your players are fantasy like you would on Direct TV. You can check out different stats to your favorite players and teams.

Xbox One will have its own T.V Guide/Menu


By asking your Xbox to go to a channel, it automatically switches it. You can also ask where and what movies are playing without having a remote control. You can also add favorites and see what is trending on the Xbox.

Xbox One Kinect Details


Voice is more conversational than ever. In feeds 2GB per second, which means you feel like you're talking to the person in real life. It has a 1080p camera that gives the person on the other side a clear view of you. It recognizes your motions and slight movements to give you the best gaming experience ever.

Xbox One DVR, Servers and Achievements


Inside the Xbox One will be a new recording technology to capture, edit and instantly save your Xbox One footage to your cloud account.

300,000 servers for Xbox One, more than the world's computer power in 1999. Dedicated game DVR and save anything to the cloud now. Achievements tell your personal experience, now what you have done in the game. Game developers can take it to the next level using Microsoft's resources to have better matchmaking, more players. etc.


Xbox One and EA Technology


With all the new technology that the Xbox One is allowing the developers to work with, the games that we should be expecting within the next 12 months from EA Sports look like nothing we have ever seen before.

With some of the most detailed, personal, connected games that have ever been developed before, these games look like something you can't even imagine while playing on the Xbox 360. From the mesh on the basketball net, to the wind blowing in a Fifa stadium, this console is shaping up to be the biggest game changer the industry has ever seen.

Forza motorsports 5 to launch with Xbox One


Turn 10 has taken the best of the Xbox one has to offer, and they put all of it into Forza motorsports 5. Forza motorsports 5 will be one of the launch games for the Xbox one. Its Smoother, quicker and more detailed than ever before, at first glance we couldn't tell if we were watching a movie or gameplay.

Halo "Wake Up John" Television Series


Halo, which has been played for billions of hours, and by tens of millions of fans is finally getting some live action.

Steven Spielberg will be directing the new Halo television series, known as Wake Up John. As a huge gamer since pong dropped in 1972, it only makes sense that one of the greatest movie directors creates a vision that we will be able to watch week in and week out.

Xbox One 'Snap' mode lets apps run simultaneously


Xbox One, Microsoft's upcoming next-generation console, will allow multiple apps to run simultaneously through Snap mode. Microsoft's Yusuf Mehdi demonstrated the functionality while watching Star Trek, allowing him to instantly access Internet Explorer through the Xbox One to research trailers for the sequel film, look up movie times and even purchase tickets.

The ESPN app also showed off some Snap stuff, letting Xbox One users watch live sports on ESPN, then using Snap to research stats on key players by speaking to Kinect. Xbox One will even let fantasy sports fans update their teams and interact with their leagues through Snap mode.
