A great feature of Zune on Xbox LIVE is free TV! Zune provides you with a selection of the latest free TV shows in our catalog. You can choose from 100 episodes to watch for free. And they're yours to keep if you want to download them. To watch free TV shows in Zune on Xbox LIVE Sign in to Xbox LIVE. From the Xbox Dashboard, select Video Marketplace, Zune. Scroll to Free TV to browse the current selection of free TV shows, then select one to watch. Select your options: Select SD/HD to change the video quality. Select Stream/Download to change how you want to receive the video. The cost is displayed as "Free." Select Continue. Free TV shows are just like shows you've actually purchased and they are yours to keep. You can re-download them four more times, including to your PC. From there, you can sync shows to a Zune player or Windows Phone 7 and watch on the go. To re-download free TV shows to your PC Start the Zune software and sign in. Go to Settings, Account,Purchase History, and then click TV shows to list all the TV shows you've purchased or acquired for free. Click Download next to the TV show you want to re-download. Xbox LIVE Public Preview Program (Cr Major Nelson & Batmanno)

At E3 we announced the new Xbox LIVE dashboard which will deliver intuitive navigation, increased responsiveness and improved engagement with Xbox experiences – all beginning this holiday. Now that our work on the dashboard is almost complete, we are announcing an open call for all Xbox LIVE members to register to participate in a preview program to help us test the system. This is an important program as we continually strive to ensure the reliability of a service that reaches tens of millions globally. We could not do so without the ongoing help of our great community. 
Once this program is kicked off, an update will be pushed to your console that will contain select dashboard features, including:

•    New design for integrated Kinect and controller navigation •    New Beacons to play online with friends •    Deeper Facebook integration •    New Cloud Storage for Game Saves and Xbox LIVE Profile

Other features and entertainment partner apps may come into view during the program period.
Note: A console in the program is expected to remain fully compatible with standard retail consoles not in the program. (e.g. party chat will function)
For those familiar with previous registrations for our program, we have a new model for registering your consoles this year.  The new model is a more automated process that should make it easier for you.  We will not ask you to type in your console information upon initial registration; once you are approved to participate in the program, look for details on our portal about how to register your console.

Xbox 360 System Update coming this Tuesday (no new features)

Sometime during the early morning hours tomorrow (Pacific Time, Tuesday, October 11th) we are pushing out a mandatory system update. If you are signed into LIVE already, you may be signed out. Once the update has been completed, you’ll be able to sign-in again and back online in a few moments.

This is a general system maintenance update and there are no new features that will show up once your system has been updated.
