Skylanders Giants - Frito Lay Promo (Back Again)

If you missed out on the last Skylanders/Frito Lay promo then you missed out on getting the 4 Skylander Sidekicks, Flocked Stump Smash and other prizes. The Stump Smash was 100% free which I sold for $80 and the set of 4 Skylanders Sidekicks were received from proof of purchase upc's which I sold for $90. Well There is a new promo starting up soon! The date has not been annouced but keep an eye out for the packaging on the multi packs of Frito Lay Chips.

The packaging will show 4 Skylanders Sidekicks which will be small versions of the new giants that are named Mini-Jini (Ninjini), Eye Small(Eye Brawl), Thumpling (Thumpback) & Barkley (Tree Rex).

My Amazon Guide - Listia & Bing Update

As part of my Amazon Guide to get $200+ in free Amazon credit every month, I have a section for Listia & Bing. I recently saw an on going trend that you can take advatage of.

The Basic rule is 1000 points = $1 (Amazon credit), This is a constant rate because Listia sells Amazon credit in its rewards store at this rate. However they do sell very fast, so you have to watch for it.

Okay, onto the trend. I have noticed 100 point Microsoft point codes going for 2,000+, there is a couple of variables. If you are new and have no feedback and havnt been verified, then do not expect your auction to go for this high. Bing currently has 100msp codes on sale this week for 100 reward points instead of the usual 125. Normally I say get the $5 Amazon card for 475 points but with this conversion based on the current trend you are getting more bang for your buck selling the Microsoft Points.

Xbox Live voice chat to be replaced by Skype

Microsoft will now be putting Skype at the center of their online-capable communication devices.

A person who is familiar with this matter has said that Microsoft will be "consolidating all their communications technology" to be focused around the Skype platform. This means that Skype, which we are almost all familiar with, will now become the standard chat service on the next generation Xbox platform, as well as on the PC and tables.

This person also said, "You might jump to the conclusion that we'll see asynchronous voice and video messages in next-gen Xbox Live."

Microsoft made it's largest acquisition in it's forty year history in 2011 when it purchased Skype for $8.5 billion. Skype's former Chief Executive Tony Bates is now heading up the new Skype division within Microsoft.

In November 2011, Microsoft announced plans to close its instant message chat service MSN, which we now know is closing down for good on March 15, 2013, will be replaced by Skype's messaging tool.

Microsoft has recent posted a job advertisement which they were seeking a user interface designer for their "next generation Xbox".

"The team you'll join is responsible for Skype in the living room (broadly the home), across various devices but with the focus on the large screen and the next generation Xbox," said the job advertisement.

Compatibility Pack Problem For Borderlands 2

The compatibility pack for the expansion isn’t working for some people.


The Sir Hammerlock DLC is out today, and as with previous DLC packs, Gearbox have prepared a compatibility update to allow players with the DLC to play co-op with people who haven’t in the main game.  However, some people are experiencing problems with the download on Xbox 360, with the download stopping at 99% and not finishing.
In a recent update on Twitter, Gearbox said: “We’re working with Microsoft to get the Compatibility Pack download error on Xbox 360 addressed ASAP — will share updates here as we can.”
As of a few minutes ago, they are still working on it, although the update is working for some people.  Sir Hammerlock’s Big Game Hunt is out today on Xbox 360, PC and PS3 except for PS3 users in Europe and Oceania, where it will be out tomorrow.

Those Who Bought The Walking Dead Retail for 360 May be Compensated with Downloads

Since the retail releases for The Walking Dead came out on 360 and PS3 people have been having issues. Not all players have had the issue, but those who did definitely have a valid claim against it. What occurs is that the game has severe "hitching" (as Telltale terms it), which means the game has unacceptable freezing and stuttering, which is not at all conducive to play. Their forums have been alive with customers lamenting these and other issues and so finally the developer has given a response.

This issue only affects those playing on a 4GB model not fitted with an internal hard drive. In order to fix the problem, users need to install an internal hard drive compatible with the console. If users are unable to install a hard drive, Telltale is offering to supply users with a free digital copy of Season One of the game at no extra cost. If you fall into that camp, download this Claim Redemption Form to claim your free digital copy.
